I go back to the example of the scene in Pee-Wee Herman&#039;s Big Adventure where he plays the bellhop and keeps looking at the camera. Perhaps with consciousness of &quot;knowing a little less than your readers&quot; we can avoid that sense that the reader detects who we are as the author.</description>
